In 4 days, N.J.’s minimum wage will creep up 16 cents

A new year on Monday will bring a slight increase in New Jersey’s minimum wage. The rate will climb 16 cents to $8.60 an hour. That hike will bump up annual wages for the state’s estimated 300,000 minimum wage workers by about $469 apiece, according to New Jersey Policy Perspective, a liberal policy group.
