There are three N.J. Republican congressional primaries without an incumbent this cycle, Save Jerseyans, but NJ-02 takes the chaotic cake with not two, or four, or even six, but EIGHT candidates competing for the nomination.

Indian American businessman Hirsh Singh enjoys support from Burlington and Ocean counties to date; he’s arguably the front runner. However, there are some other late entries like Sam Fiocchi, a former Assemblyman in LD1 and former Cumberland County freeholder, too, who as a result of his past service enjoys significant name recognition in the district.

“No clue,” said one active NJ-02 Republican when we asked him which way he thinks it’d go. “The party likes Hirsh, but most committee types in the southern counties have an open mind.”

We could be in for a real fight. TBD.

For now: who do YOU think deserves the nomination?
