WASHINGTON, D.C. –  The pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) endorsed Jay Webber in New Jersey’s 11th congressional district primary on Thursday.

The well-known national organization also drew a strong contrast between Webber, a GOP Assembylman, and the outgoing Republican congressman whom he hopes to succeed.

“Susan B. Anthony List is proud to endorse Jay Webber for Congress. His pro-life leadership is desperately needed in the 11th district which has for years been represented by Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen. Since the retirement of Pennsylvania’s Charlie Dent, Rep. Frelinghuysen is the last pro-abortion Republican in the U.S. House. This is an historic opportunity to elect a strong pro-life leader in the place of someone who routinely bucked his constituents to stand with the abortion lobby,” said SBA List VP of Government Affairs Marilyn Musgrave. “As a state Assemblyman, Jay has been a dedicated and passionate defender of unborn children. By contrast, two of his primary opponents support taxpayer funding for America’s largest abortion business, Planned Parenthood. Their radical support for the abortion lobby is dramatically out of step with the majority of Americans.”

Webber and his wife, Johanna, have seven children.
