NJ-11: Ghee attempts incursions into Webber’s Morris

RIVERDALE, N.J. — Jay Webber (R-26) represented Riverdale prior to the 2011 legislative reapportionment.

Today? It’s in LD40 — where the Republican legislative leadership is all-in behind Webber’s CD-11 primary opponent Antony Ghee — and Riverdale’s Mayor is now following suit:

Webber is leading the endorsement war but his home base of Morris County lacks a party line, a disadvantage which his primary opponents, Ghee included, are hoping to exploit next Tuesday. Ghee also has the endorsements of Chatham Township Councilman and Municipal Chairman Tayfun Selen, former Chairman Morris County Republican Committee John Sette and Webber’s running mate, Assemblywoman Betty Lou DeCroce.
