TRENTON, N.J. — Phil Murphy and his administration badly bungled this season’s first big winter story, leaving children stranded at schools and thousands stuck on road ways for hours. He refused to accept responsibility, blaming meteorologists.
Any responsibility:

What he HAS done?
Curiously, ever since the #snowmess, Murphy’s NJDOT has been brine-spraying roads and posting “winter storm warning” messages on state road electronic billboards… even when winter weather is NOT forecasted.
NJ 101.5 weather guru Dan Zarrow went on an epic rant about it this morning on Twitter:

This is the "Hazardous Weather Outlook" from @NWS_MountHolly, the definitive product that emergency managers and government should review daily as their official weather briefing.

There is no risk for dangerous weather today. A little extreme to make the accusation, perhaps… But causing False Public Alarm is a crime in NJ. https://t.co/g5pTrlCtH1

Wrong? Yes. And expensive, too, something to consider since New Jersey’s gas tax just went up AGAIN in October.
