Piscopo is once again considering a run for N.J. governor

NEW YORK, N.Y. — Radio host and former SNL star Joe Piscopo is once again considering a run for statewide office.

Once again, his opponent would be Phil Murphy.

“Somebody’s gotta save the state,” Piscopo told TV host Andrew Napolitano on Fox News this Monday, setting his sights on the 2021 gubernatorial contest. “You can not continue with these progressive, socialist, broad stroke agendas. What about property taxes? What about the inner cities? What about helping the citizens of the state of New Jersey?”

Piscopo first considered an independent run for governor in 2017 before ultimately endorsing Republican Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno:
