The Intercept talked to his ex-staffers from different offices; they reportedly “painted a portrait of a man who pits staffers against each other, screams easily, throws pens with regularity, and berates aides if they are asleep when he sends an email, no matter the time of night.”

The campaign of the early front runner to take on Gottheimer in the 2020 general election promptly pounced.
“Add ‘bad boss’ to the list of titles Josh Gottheimer has earned. Gottheimer has already failed to represent us in Congress by voting with the far left — but now we learn that he terrorizes his own staff, even throwing office supplies at them,” Pallotta for Congress spokesman Pete Sheridan opined in a statement. “If this is how he treats people who work for him, how can we trust him to stand up for the working men and women of the 5th Congressional District? We deserve better from our representatives and that’s exactly why Frank Pallotta is running for Congress.”
“Thank goodness Josh Gottheimer has a driver. With a temper like that, all bets are off if he’s behind the wheel on the the Parkway during rush hour,” added Sheridan.
