WASHINGTON, D.C. – ‘The Squad’ – consisting of far-Left Democrat Congresswomen Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, and Ayanna Pressley – has an unlikely new member as of today: Bill Pascrell of New Jersey’s 9th Congressional District.
Not really. But the 82 year-old white liberal from Northern New Jersey embraced a satire post from The Onion on Tuesday in which Pascrell pitches himself for membership in the informal band that has vexed Nancy Pelosi and serves as a new favorite target of President Trump’s tweet attacks.

Ocasio-Cortez responded by telling Pascrell he’s welcome to join them:
–
Well. How bout it @AyannaPressley @AOC @RepRashida @IlhanMN? https://t.co/jqdmXneYv5

βI can help with any tweeting you ladies might need. Heck, we might even talk to the other gals and make some sort of viral video together,” Pascrell promises in the satirical story. “But enough about me: What do you think? Am I squad material?β
AOC’s exchange with Pascrell is interesting because Pascrell previously endorsed Joe Crowley of New York for speaker over Nancy Pelosi; Crowley ultimately lost his primary battle to Ocasio-Cortez.
