FAIL: Murphy’s alleged India trip job gains canceled out by N.J. private sector losses

TRENTON, N.J. – Governor Phil Murphy trumpeted 1,200+ new jobs on Thursday which he says came out of his controversial business mission to India

Unfortunately for Murphy? And his state’s long-suffering residents? The New Jersey Labor Department also released August 2019 jobs data on Thursday, the state just lost a net total of 1,200 private sector jobs, a result which washes out any purported gains coming out of Murphy’s extensive and expensive vacation to the Indian subcontinent.

Under Murphy, New Jersey’s GDP growth has consistently lagged behind our neighboring states even during when those states where experiencing robust economic growth.
