Malinowski insists secret impeachment info makes it “harder to defend the president’s conduct”

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The secret impeachment hearing underway beneath the U.S. Capitol complex have been shielded from the American public’s view by Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

When freshman Congressman Tom Malinowski (D, NJ-07) told NBC News on Wednesday that the mounting evidence is damning? We’re being asked to take his word for it.

“With every new witness we get further detail corroborating the basic story,” Malinowski told NBC. “With every witness it becomes harder to deny the facts and harder to defend the president’s conduct.”

Facing criticism for their nontransparent process to date, House Democrats are slated to cast their first public impeachment-related vote on Halloween.

Malinowski’s suburban New Jersey district covers a significant portion of Central Jersey. He defeated then-Republican Congressman Leonard Lance in the 2018 midterms.
