Embattled N.J. Democrats Malinowski, Gopal running from Murphy’s pervy curriculum standards

What a difference a couple of weeks can make, Save Jerseyans…

Despite the Media (mostly the Washington Post and Politico-New Jersey) working overtime to delegitimize critics of Phil Murphy’s positively perverted curriculum standards for young New Jersey school children, N.J. Democrats continue to seek distance between themselves and the Governor’s latest outrage.

Senate Education Committee Chairman Vin Gopal (D-11) – who is more responsible than any other legislator for the standards which provide for extremely sexual topics like the clitoris and transgenderism being taught to 7-year-olds – announced this week that he’ll sponsor an extremely watered-down version of parental rights legislation.

Gopal barely survived reelection last fall before this controversy broke out into the open following a Save Jersey report on perverted Westfield model materials based on the standards. Murphy recently pledged a “review” following a public outcry.

Critics were quick to point out that Gopal is stopping short of repealing the underlying legislation.

“He can try to run, hide, or play dumb as much as he wants. The indisputable fact is that Senator Vin Gopal is the architect of education standards that led to curricula that would have taught age-inappropriate material to young, elementary school-aged children,” reacted NJGOP Executive Director Tom Szymanksi. “Not only did he co-sponsor the bill that developed these standards, he also currently serves as Senate Education Committee Chairman.”

“Either Senator Gopal purposefully wanted to put this content in front of children, or he didn’t read the language of the bill he co-sponsored that went through the Committee he now chairs – neither of which voters will find acceptable,” Szymanski added. “If Senator Gopal is serious about empowering parents, there is one way to prove it: Gopal must repeal the legislation that he passed which led to these disturbing curriculum proposals in the first place, and tell the Governor Murphy to sign the repeal immediately. Stop messing with our kids by stripping away parental rights.”

Gopal isn’t alone in playing games and hoping no one notices.

Back in March, Congressman Tom Malinowski (D, NJ-07) – considered one of the midterm cycle’s most vulnerable incumbents – was caught on tape dismissing parents’ school-related concerns as “made-up cultural bullshit” arising from a “fringe movement.”

Malinowski is now desperately trying to create context or his original remarks:

Again, few were fooled.

“Tom Malinowski said exactly what he meant when he called parents’ education concerns ‘made-up cultural bullshit,’ and he’s only walking his comments back now that they’re another liability for his failing campaign,” said NRCC Spokeswoman Samantha Bullock following the Democrat’s latest tortured tweets.
