Tom Malinowski continues to stick his foot in his own mouth with the cameras rolling, Save Jerseyans.
On month after dismissing concerned parents for fretting over “made-up cultural bullshit,” the embattled 7th Congressional District Democrat struck out in favor of a massive gas tax increase during an April 21st Sierra Club town hall.
“The best way forward is a carbon fee,” Malinowski declared, adding that his opposition to drilling stemmed from his belief that it would “accelerate the climate crisis.”
It’s been estimated that a carbon tax would cost in the neighborhood of 36-cents per gallon at a time when national gas prices are already sky-high.
Republicans were quick to seize on Malinowski’s latest misstep.
“Americans are paying the price for Democrats’ reckless energy policies and Tom Malinowski wants to make it even worse,” said CLF Press Secretary Cally Perkins.
