Malinowski embraces effort to place him on the ballot twice (a violation of state law)

Tom Malinowski

Allies of Democrat Congressman Tom Malinowski are reportedly planning to fight New Jersey’s decision to deny their effort to place the incumbent on the ballot a second time: as the “Moderate Party” candidate in addition to as the Democrat nominee.

New Jersey made “fusion” ballots illegal 100 years ago.

The truly crazy part?

Malinowski, increasingly viewed as an underdog for reelection due to the environmental factors, ongoing ethical concerns and redistricting changes, is openly embracing the idea.

“I am also proud to have accepted the nomination of a new party in New Jersey – the Moderate Party, which was formed by Republicans and Independents, including elected Republican officials in our district who are splitting with the NJ GOP and walking away from Tom Kean Jr.,” Malinowski declared in a Wednesday email blast to supporters. “They are fed up by the extremism and chaos on their side, what has happened to their party since Donald Trump took it over and who are desperately trying to find a way to bring this country back to the center, back to moderation.”

You’d think he’d keep his distance from the idea? Even if he was quietly cheering for the courts to green light the idea?

But it’s par for the course for Malinowski, folks, who is a total stranger to shame.
