Nine N.J. daily papers may soon feature less opinion content

Tired of a liberal slant in major New Jersey newspapers?

That could begin to change soon at least at Gannett’s nine Garden State dailies. I’m not holding my breath of course.

On Thursday, The Washington Post reported that Gannett wants to rein in the percentage of opinion content in his newspapers.

“While Gannett says the recommendations are not mandatory and most of its papers still have editorial and commentary pages, at least four of its newspapers have slashed their daily opinion offerings in recent days. More are expected to follow suit,” WashPo reported.

Gannett presently operates The Asbury Park Press, The Bergen Record, Courier News, Courier Post, Daily Record, Home News Tribune | My Central Jersey, Daily Journal, New Jersey Herald, and The Burlington County Times.

Trust in the Media has fallen sharply in recent years as America’s major legacy news outlets have generally shifted to more opinion content – often disguised as “analysis” – most of which also happens to reflect Leftist worldviews and positions.
