Biden’s net approval ends Q2 negative in N.J., 43 other U.S. states

Americans may seem more divided than ever before, Save Jerseyans, but there does appear to be widespread agreement on one thing:

Joe Biden sucks at his job.

The Morning Consult Political Intelligence reported survey data from the second quarter of 2022 on Monday, and the Democrat incumbent’s job approval rating is underwater in 44 states. That’s up from 40 in the first quarter of the year.

Biden’s net approval is -5 in the Garden State, better than battleground Pennsylvania (where he’s upside down by 19 points!) but worse than New York which is one of only six states where Biden is rightsize up (+2 points).

To the surprise of no one, Biden performs best in California where his net approval stands at +9/

In Wyoming, Biden’s net approval is a staggering -53.

Could Biden lose New Jersey in 2024 should he seek a second term, something that appears far from certain as of today? It’s possible, but it’d also be the first time a Democrat presidential candidate lost New Jersey since 1988.
