SCIENCE! Rutgers mandates vaccines for fall 2022, masks for classrooms but not… indoor events?

“Higher” education continues to live in the intellectual gutter, Save Jerseyans.

Rutgers University is sticking with political science instead of actual science for the fall 2022 semester, formally announcing on Tuesday that masking would remain mandatory for “all indoor teaching spaces, libraries, and clinical settings” for each campus of the state’s largest college system.

Vaccines and boosters are also mandatory for staff and students alike despite overwhelming evidence that vaccines and boosters don’t prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

Curiously, while masks compliance will be enforced inside classrooms, large-scale indoor events (like concerts and basketball games) will NOT require masking but a vaccine passport rule (read: proof of vaccination or a negative PCR result) will be required. Are you in more danger sitting a couple of feet from someone in a classroom for 50 minutes? Or crammed onto a bleacher with hundreds of screaming people for a full game? I’m not sure they even thought it out! This is political, after all.

Btw: the latest CDC guidance only recommends masking in certain cases involving positive results and/or exposure.
