Lately, Save Jerseyans, the Leftist media is in such a hurry to take down Republicans that they’re not even fact-checking their own attempted hits! I think it’s a toxic combination of TDS and the prospect of a GOP congressional takeover that has them taking less care to pretend to be impartial. It doesn’t bode well for the future of journalism, but it can be illuminating.
Exhibit A:
N.J. Spotlight’s Colleen O’Dea went after NJ-07 Republican nominee Tom Kean Jr. on Monday for purportedly ducking her and other reporters during the course of the ongoing campaign. According to her, Kean’s “last interview with [N.J. Spotlight] was 2020 as best I could tell.”
As it turns out? That’s completely and verifiably false. Kean Campaign Manager Harrison Neely promptly pointed out on Twitter that not only had Kean done an interview with N.J. Spotlight as recently as June 2022 but O’Dea herself was on the panel that followed Kean’s interview being played! Which means she sat there and watched it. A self own of biblical proportions, folks!
