Maybe their only goal is winning elections and that’s it. Perhaps – and I’ll call you a liar if you deny it – you’ve considered the possibility as I have that Joe Biden, his Leftist comrades, and the Media establishment are gaslighting us all just for shits and giggles.
We know what a recession is: two consecutive quarters of negative GDP growth. No one seriously questioned that definition until it happened on Joe Biden’s watch and, consequently, the 2022 recession threatened to deprive his part of control of Congress.
This week, Biden sat down with Jake Tapper who asked the president a narrative-affirming question: “Should the American people prepare for a recession?” Again, you can’t prepare for something that’s already happening, but the Media’s only concern (assuming we take gaslighting for the sake of gaslighting off of the table) is helping Democrats sell their snake oil to the American people.
“No,” Biden responded. “I don’t think there will be a recession. If it is, it’ll be a very slight recession.”
Imagine if a president simply pretended a war wasn’t happening? Biden’s refusal to accept economic reality is equally ridiculous. Policy disagreements are one thing. This Orwellian bullshit is 1,000-times more dangerous than 5,000 QAnon shamans.
