The South Jersey Democrat Machine struck back on Tuesday night, Save Jerseyans, leveraging a massive 2-to-1 vote by mail and early vote advantage to hold off their GOP challengers in Gloucester County – and retain control – by a little over 2,000 votes out of 100,000 cast.
Republicans did, however, take control of council in Washington Township with a three-seat sweep by Donald C. Brown Jr., Johnson “Jack” Yerkes III, and Peter M. Del Borrello III.
It’s a mixed bag of sorts heading into 2023 when LD4 is expected to be a top legislative battleground.
