Here we go again, Save Jerseyans.
An apparent systemic voting machine issue (?) knocked out Mercer County’s voting machines on Tuesday morning leaving voters frustrated, candidates sweating, and poll workers on the bring of nervous breakdowns.
“The Board of Elections has advised the county of issues with voting machines,” the Democrat-dominated county’s Facebook page announced. “Poll workers will be on hand to walk voters through the process. The board is working with Dominion, the machine maker, to resolve the issue.”
Darius Mayfield, the GOP nominee in NJ-12 (which overlaps with the Mercer) urged county voters to cast a provisional ballot if necessary rather than simply leaving the polling station without voting.
“I’m getting word that the problem still persist with Mercer County Dominion machines. If you live in Mercer County ask for a provisional Ballot at polls and #VOTE Tell you friends & family the same,” Mayfield tweeted shortly before 8 o’clock in the morning.
All voting machines are down here in
Mercer County. There is a software issue with the voting machines. Provisional ballots are still being accepted and you can still vote manually. We are at a polling location in Hamilton Twp. @News12NJ pic.twitter.com/yVGMSv9RIM— Jim Murdoch (@ReporterJim) November 8, 2022

“Provisional ballots count!” the NJGOP advised in its own tweet. “They are set aside and counted in a bipartisan fashion later after the voter’s registration/voting status is verified. If you are asked to vote provisionally, please do so, and then call our election integrity hotline and log the incident with us, at 732-335-7300.”
Mercer voters apparently do have the option of voting manually per the West Windsor Police Department:
