‘OFFICERS DOWN’: Two policemen shot, injured in Newark, N.J.

There’s a potentially tragic situation unfolding in Newark, Save Jerseyans…

Two police officers were reportedly shot and injured in Newark, New Jersey on Tuesday afternoon, an incident tied to a violent crime wave plaguing American cities especially in “blue” states including our own.

“I am aware of and closely monitoring an unfolding situation in Newark,” Governor Phil Murphy tweeted. “I am in touch with local authorities and the State is providing resources as requested. We will continue to support local law enforcement and ensure that all residents are safe.”

The National Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) repeated news and social media reports of the shooter “using a rifle” and “actively shooting at law enforcement.” According to the FOP, 252 U.S. police officers had been shot in 2022 as of September 30th.

A journalist from Yeshiva World News reported that the shooter struck from “an elevated position” while others specified that the shots had come from a rooftop.
