Rutgers University may be one of the country’s most far-Left major university systems, but it’s devotion to woke indoctrination apparently isn’t enough to earn it a pass from some leading national far-Left wackos.
Both Bernie Sanders and AFT’s Randi Weingarten threw in behind the Rutgers AAUP-AFT (comprised of Union graduate workers, faculty, at other employees) and the Coalition of Rutgers Unions this week in their ongoing contract dispute with the university.
“It is unacceptable that while Rutgers University has an endowment of nearly $2 BILLION dollars, their workers are struggling to get by. I stand in strong solidarity with @ruaaup and the Coalition of Rutgers Unions who are fighting for fair wages, healthcare, and job security.”
Weingarten, the nation’s most visible teacher’s union figure and a chief cheerleader of Covid-19 lockdown measures, made the trip to New Jersey to join in on a protest:
It is unacceptable that while Rutgers University has an endowment of nearly $2 BILLION dollars, their workers are struggling to get by. I stand in strong solidarity with @ruaaup and the Coalition of Rutgers Unions who are fighting for fair wages, healthcare, and job security.
