Woke suffered a setback this month in one Morris County, New Jersey middle school.
At the recent January 3rd board of education meeting, Superintendent Peter Turnamian announced the removal of rainbow ‘Safe Zone’ signs at Long Valley Middle School. since 2019. Turnamian plans to replace the LGBTQ symbol with the school’s mascot, a panther.
“Ultimately, the advice of legal counsel was to have them come down,” explained Turnamian.
