Van Drew participates in Yuma, AZ hearing on border crisis

Congressman Jeff Van Drew (R, NJ-02) spent his Thursday in Yuma, Arizona, offering testimony before the House Judiciary Committee’s field hearing on the crisis unfolding at America’s border with Mexico.

“It has exceeded anything that we could have ever imagined. We’ve had more than 600,000 people come through Yuma since this administration took office,” explained Jonathan Lines, Yuma County Supervisor District 2, when Congressman Van Drew asked if the situation at the border had deteriorated since 2020.

Van Drew also pushed back against Democrats on the committee who refused to participate in the Yuma hearing.

“When you believe in something, when it’s in your heart, when you know it’s right, you are going to stand up and fight for it,” said Van Drew. “Democrats can’t because they know at the end of the day they are hurting our American people and they are hurting America, and it has to come to an end.”
