Nancy Pelosi is rightly being mocked on social media today after tweeting, in the hours following news of President Trump’s New York indictment, that “everyone has the right to a trial to prove innocence.” It was a monumentally stupid utterance from the woman who served for many years as the federal government’s third most powerful elected official.
It was also probably honest. Nancy’s never had a real job. Her daddy was a congressman, and she jumped into the public arena in the ’60s (earlier if you count childhood attendence at various events with her pop). She’s well-versed in political warfare but her actual knowledge of the fine points of other arenas – notably the justice system – is shallow.
Democrats also happen BELIEVE in guilty until proven innocent.
You can see evidence of it in almost every individual facet of their espoused positions, hot takes, and angry rants.
The Grand Jury has acted upon the facts and the law.
No one is above the law, and everyone has the right to a trial to prove innocence.
Hopefully, the former President will peacefully respect the system, which grants him that right.

Think about it:
The rich are guilty and must necessarily pay more simply because they’ve earned more. “Justice” demands it.
Critical race theory dictates that white people are BORN racist and are therefore guilty of racism in the womb.
The police officer is always presumed guilty because the system is structurally, inherently racist.
Access to special rights correlate to whether victimizing your particular sociological cohort benefits the Democrats at election time.
Donald Trump? He’s a class traitor; a New York liberal (for many years) and a card-carrying member of the Leftist entertainment industry UNTIL he distrupted the Left’s narrative and refused to play by their rules; thereafter, he was, is and will always be presumed guilty until proven innocent beacause of the threat he poses to their agenda… and their anger over his having stabbed them in the back.
Democrats are secular Calvinists. You’re predetermined to believe certain things, act certain ways, and harbor certain prejudices based almost solely upon how you started. Who you are – and what you stand for – determines your entitlement to “rights” as they define them and redefine them over time as needed. It’s a dark and divisive worldview, and Pelosi’s seemingly ignorant comment goes a long way towards explaining how the past eight years played out like they did.
