We had a grand old time on Saturday at the NJGOP Statewide Leadership Summit in Atlantic City, Save Jerseyans.
I didn’t gamble, but there was plenty of politicking over drinks during the annual confab which draws hundreds of operatives, legislators, local officials, party leaders, and grassroots activists from all 21 counties to the Harrah’s Casino.
Some notable observations? It was a record turnout (congrats to Bob Hugin, Tom Szymanski and their team), the crowd was remarkably young (I’d guess approximately two-thirds of the attendees were under 40), and the presence of both 2021 gubernatorial nominee Jack Ciattarelli and NJ 101.5 radio host Bill Spadea put a strong focus on the distant 2025 cycle.
