State Senator Michael Testa (R-1) took New Jersey Republicans’ efforts to combat whale and dolphin deaths and achieve an offshore wind moratorium to Fox & Friends on Friday morning; Testa’s appearance followed a GOP Senate hearing into the matter earlier in the week.
Testa had particularly harsh words for foreign offshore wind developer Orsted and environmental groups (notably Sierra Club and Greenpeace) who have made no apologies for abandoning their espoused mission of defending wildlife.
“I always though those were the groups that were there to protect the whales and to create bumper stickers that say ‘save the whales,'” said Testa, adding that things would likely be different if oil exploration was the issue of the moment.
Testa also noted the potential impact to tourism as Memorial Day Weekend approaches, and he took a shot at the Left’s green energy agenda generally; currently, Governor Murphy is retooling a Garden State “energy master plan” which could cost well in excess of a trillion dollars.
A Vineland-based attorney, Testa represents Cape May County and portions of Cumberland County.
