Donald Trump leads Ron DeSantis by 14-points in the new UNH poll dropped Tuesday, Save Jerseyans, closer than some of the other recent surveys but a commanding lead nonetheless for the de facto incumbent. The ex-president’s supporters are also more firmed up behind their man than the florida governor’s backers (76% vs. 14% “fully decided”).

There’s also really bad news in there for a Jersey guy who really, REALLY wants to do well in New Hampshire… Fatty McThunderbiscuits.

“Trump supporters are far more likely than DeSantis voters to say they have made up their mind,” UNH’s polling report explains. “South Carolina Senator Tim Scott is the most personally well-liked candidate while former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is very unpopular and is most likely to be mentioned by likely primary voters as the candidate they would not vote for under any circumstances.”

The results (see below) show a full 35% declaring they won’t consider the N.J. governor in the upcoming primary. Mike Pence is a distant 2nd at 20% declaring no-fucking-way, while Trump is a no-go for 18% of the Granite State’s primary electorate.

Christie is only the second choice of 3% of voters while DeSantis is the #2 option of nearly 1 in 5.

Some more upside for DeSantis: only 4% are willing to rule him out at this relatively early stage of the game…
