Chris Christie turned on his own party again this week, Save Jerseyans, slamming the House GOP for grilling his ex-lawyer Christopher Wray on Capitol Hill.
“What you saw today, I think was an animated and combative FBI director who’s defending the men and women who work for him every day and do a great job and protect us from domestic terrorism, from international terrorism and from these drug cartels and are helping state local law enforcement every day with their things,” complained Christie to Fox News’s John Roberts on “America Reports.”
Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), who helped lead the embattled FBI director’s grilling, fired back at the former governor on Hannity.
“I’m more likely to take Chris Christie’s exercise plan than I am his fundraising strategy,” countered Gaetz.

Interestingly, while Christie didn’t single out Jeff Van Drew specifically, the South Jersey Republican also participated in the questioning of Wray.
