Tensions are rising everywhere in the aftermath of the evil early-October Hamas assault on Israel which left thousands dead and over 200 in captivity in Gaza.
Warships of major powers are sailing to the Middle East and, in a new twist, Israel is accusing Hamas of exploring the use of chemical weapons. The threat of a broader war appears to be high, and rallies by pro-Hamas college students and radical activists are riling American communities back here at home.
Another domestic flashpoint:
An anti-Hamas billboard warning motorists “Oh, don’t be naive. Hamas would chop your head off too” in Bergen County has reportedly been taken down following a spate of complaints.
The billboard was reportedly a project of the organization “Jewbelong.”
“This anti-Hamas billboard on Route 80 in Bogota borough resulted in more than 100 calls to police before it was taken down by organizers,” explaind Shlomo Schorr, a veteran Garden State jounalist who currently serves as associate director of the New Jersey office of Agudath Israel of America:
