Justice is New Jersey is performative, Save Jerseyans.
Governor Phil Murphy’s state attorney general (Matt Platkin) is the ringmaster of this morally bankrupt circus. Whether it’s guns, gender, climate craziness or some other Leftist cause de jour, Platkin can be relied upon to do the political thing at every opportunity with little or no regard for what’s right.
Not content to sue school districts that want to keep parents in the loop if their children try to change genders, Platkin announced that the administration is taking on Meta (Facebook’s parent company) on Tuesday…
.@Meta is harming our children, and we refuse to tolerate it any longer. Today, NJ is co-leading dozens of states suing Meta in federal court to hold it accountable for deceptive business practices designed to cause kids to become addicted to social media. https://t.co/bOzNdVIFsd pic.twitter.com/DhvM65j4el

Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook aren’t exactly sympathetic defendants. That’s undeniable.
But might there be a more pressing priority for our state’s top prosecutor?
Crime? We’ve got plenty of it.
We also have an election coming up in two weeks, and Democrats appear to be running phantom candidates, powered by dark money, in the hopes of saving three legislative seats in battleground LD4. All the evidence points in that direction. There’s possibly a “crime in progress” afoot (h/t David Wildstein), and the players in this drama are all clamming up or saying incriminating things like “I was told if you called not to answer any questions about why I signed the petition. You are causing a lot of problems for people.”
Republicans have asked Platkin to investigate and intervene (click here).
“Given the fraught national dialogue around the integrity of our elections and the importance that all citizens and voters to have confidence that our elections are fair and free of interference, we believe it is imperative that you investigate Ms. Penrose’s very troubling claims,” the GOP ticket explained.
I spoke to Chris Russell (general consultant for the LD4 GOP ticket) on Tuesday evening, and at least as of that conversation, the ticket hasn’t heard back from Platkin or his office.
Taking on Zuckerberg is the political thing.
Defending the democratic process in South Jersey would be the right thing.
We shouldn’t be surprised by Platkin’s choice. Not with his track record.
