Tammy Murphy launched her “Nurture NJ” initiative back in 2019, Save Jerseyans, and she’s touting the program (purportedly targetedto tackle infant mortality and maternal health in the Garden State) as her #1 credential for U.S. Senate. Taxpayers just blew $100,000 on Nurture NJ ads clearly designed to help launch her campaign.
What does she (and we) have to show for our investment?
Not much!
According to the newly-released annual report card prepared by non-partisan March of Dimes, New Jersey received only a “C+” grade for its preterm birth rate which was 9.3% last year representing an increase over 2021. Eight counties saw their individual rates get worse.
