U.S. Senate candidate Curtis Bashaw (R-Cape May) got a first person look at the U.S.-Mexican Border crossing near Yuma, Arizona early Saturday morning, Save Jerseyans, and the South Jersey hotelier noted that it strains credulity to even call it a proper “border” right now.
“You cannot have a sovereign nation without a border, and we don’t have one right now.”
Far from the Border, the Garden State is nevertheless reportedly home to approximately 900,000 illegals according to a recent analysis.
Bashaw is facing off with Mendham mayor Christine Glassner in this June’s New Jersey GOP U.S. Senate primary. The winner will compete in November against presumptive Democrat nominee Andy Kim, though incumbent Bob Menendez (currently on trial for corruption) may run as an independent.
