RESULTS: Nearly 1 in 10 N.J. Democrats “uncommitted” to Biden on primary night

Will Joe Biden win enough Democrats in November to win a second term?

He may need to do better than he did in New Jersey on Tuesday, Save Jerseyans. As of Wednesday morning, President Joe Biden had about 88% of the raw projected vote while approximately 9% were “uncommitted.” Nearly 3% went for a no-name candidate, Terrisa Bukovinac.

The incumbent ran into a similar result in Michigan where he won only 81% of the primary vote and over 13% were uncommitted.

National polling has consistently found warning signs for Biden inside of his coalition particularly with younger and non-white voters. One spring 2024 poll found Biden leading Donald Trump by a mere 5-points statewide in a multi-candidate general election field…
