Unaddressed mental illness has consequences, folks.
A 16-year-old “transgender” teen (we know that’s not a real thing, but that’s how it’s being reported) has reportedly confessed to murdering his own mother and her boyfriend, a New Jersey native named Matthew Szejnrok, in Palm Bay, Florida.
According to an affidavit released by the police…
[Redacted] shot her mother several times, then shot Matthew several times as he pleaded with her to stop. [Redacted] then followed Matthew into the bathroom where he retreated and began stabbing him repeatedly as she had run out of ammunition. Moments after stabbing Matthew, Matthew essentially asked her to take him out of his misery. [Redacted] went into Kelley’s bedroom and loaded another round into the revolver. She entered the bathroom and shot Matthew one more time in the head (ultimately killing him).
The teen initially blamed an intruder in a 911 call placed to law enforcement but investigators quickly realized that the murder scene did not match the teen’s story.
Currently incarcerated in Brevard County, the teen faces two first-degree premeditated murder counts but could still be tried as a minor.
