Did Murphy accidentally help confirm the Walz “stolen valor” allegations?

Resigning to avoid deploying to Iraq. Lying about his rank post-retirement. Telling an audience that “[w]e can make sure those weapons of war, that I carried in war, are only carried in war,” despite the fact that he never served in combat.

Tim Walz may be one of the most egregious “stolen valor” offenders of all time, claiming military rank, status, and service that not only represents an exaggeration, but the product of pure fantasy.

“The media needs to do their job and ask these tough questions and Walz needs to answer them,” Rep. Mike Waltz (R-FL), a Green Beret, opined on Wednesday via his X profile. “The veterans community, for one, is demanding an explanation of why he didn’t fulfill his duty as a command sergeant major and go into harm’s way with the men and women he was leading.”

Did Phil Murphy accidentally help confirm Governor Walz’s moral crimes? And validate Rep. Waltz’s concerns?

Always quick to grab some attention for himself, Governor Murphy tweeted a photograph of himself with Tim Walz on Tuesday, reacting to a journalist’s post about Walz being a big Springsteen fan (all of the biggest douches are, right?).

But as our friend Rich Baris pointed out, the photographed Walz, smiling alongside Beto O’Rourke, Josh Shapiro and Phil Murphy, appears to be sporting a hat with a special operations crest.

“Maybe, MAYBE IF, as governor he was attending an event for special operations soldiers, and he wore it out of respect for them,” Baris continued. “But even then, he’s not only governor, he’s a veteran and knows not to rock the crest of another unit. He has worn that hat, donned that crest often.”

So there you have it.

Phil Murphy is dangerous to just about everyone… taxpayers, ratepayers, innocent whales, unborn babies, nursing home patients, and even the prospects of his own party’s vice presidential candidates!

For now, the Harris-Walz campaign isn’t engaging which may tell you all you need to know…
