New Jersey’s plastic bag ban not only increased plastic consumption but the misguided law also increased the dreaded emissions which Trenton Democrats fret over.
So naturally Trenton, ever on brand, is scheming to double down on its failed experiment!
Politico is reporting that Assemblyman Joe Danielsen, a Somerset County Democrat, is “looking into” a wider prohibition on single-use plastic water bottles. While there isn’t a pending bill at the moment, Save Jerseyans, this is how it starts.
Other blue areas have flirted with or embraced versions of a ban, but it’s obviously consumers and small businesses who will suffer most if convenient and safe plastic bottles are outlaws with little to no (more than likely “no”) positive impact for the natural environment.
We’ll keep you in the loop, as always.
