Murphy vows to “fight to the death” to stop Trump’s policies including mass deportations

A little over the top? Well, Save Jerseyans, we know Donald Trump has been accused of encouraging violence (without basis) for saying for less. You can be the judge.

On Wednesday, Governor Phil Murphy held a post-election presser and declared he’s ready to fight Trump policies, including promised mass deportations of illegal aliens, all while acknowledging that Donald Trump’s historic national victory and extremely close 5-point loss in New Jersey represented a “sober” moment for both himself and his party.

“If it’s contrary to our values, we will fight to the death,” the governor told assembled members of the media. “If there’s an opportunity for common ground, we will seize that as fast as anybody.”

Sounds insurrection-y?

Governor Murphy made New Jersey a sanctuary state during his first term in office, but that position has also grown increasingly unpopular during the Biden Border surge. Public and exit polling suggested that immigration was among the top issues motivating 2024 voters.

Bombastic language aside, Murphy touted his past experiences working successfully with the Republican president-elect in an apparent attempt to recapture some high ground…
