Reality Check

If you’re raging with eternal hatred for Trump voters…

Well. This applies to over half the country. 75 million people. First Republican to win the popular vote in 20 years. Won by 5 million votes.

53% of white women voted for Trump.
2% more women voted for Trump post the Dobbs decision than voted for Trump in 2020.

Record support from African-Americans

Record support from Hispanics

20% of voters who self-identify as LGBTQ voted for Trump.

AND – While we are being called antisemitic, Trump also got record Jewish votes for a Republican. Israel celebrated his victory.

It’s reassuring to see that voters totally reject the false narrative and fever dreams of dictatorship, the Handmaidens, the internment camps, the Nazi bullshit.

Totally rejected.

How about – Trump winning proves America hates women???

DONALD TRUMP HAS NEVER PROPOSED A NATIONAL BAN ON ABORTION.

HE HAS NEVER OPPOSED IVF. HE SAID THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SHOULD PAY FOR IT.

HE HAS NEVER PROPOSED BANNING BIRTH CONTROL OR MONITORING WOMEN’S MENSTRUAL CYCLES.

Insane rhetoric.

To say women are having all their rights stripped away because the question of abortion has been returned to the states to resolve on a state-by-state basis is a disconnect from reality.

To further say that anyone that voted for Trump did so solely to punish women goes contrary to all the data. The top issues for Trump voters were the economy, the border crisis, law and order, protecting democracy and the direction of education. Dragging women back to the Stone Age, barefoot and pregnant, didn’t make the list.

Only 14% of all voters in exit polls ranked abortion rights as their top priority.

Trump’s position, leave the issue of abortion up to the voters in the individual state is the most moderate position on abortion of a Republican candidate in history. And the most DEMOCRATIC.

The Progressive Democrat position, unlimited abortion up to and into the third trimester, is the most radical position on abortion of any Democrat candidate in history. A position that the majority of Americans do not and never have supported.

By the next election, in 2028, two things will have happened:

1. The courts will determine that the federal government has no power to pass national legislation on abortion, whether to ban it or enshrine Roe v. Wade.

2. By 2028, all the states will have settled their own policies on abortion based on the preference of their voters.

In other words, the issue will be resolved constitutionally, by the people. That is how the country is supposed to work.

Trump won because he broaden his coalition based on the issues that matter most to the vast majority of Americans, primarily the economy.

In the meantime, reasonable Americans, men and women will move on with their lives in hopes of a brighter future for themselves and their families under the leadership of a sensible and competent government that facilitates a strong economy, secures our borders, projects smart power abroad, enforces our laws without prejudice offers equal opportunity (not outcomes)and educates (instead of indoctrinates) our children.

Carry on. God bless America.
