The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is temporarily halting unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) from flying over multiple New Jersey towns and sensitive locations until January 17th.
The Picatinny Arsenal is on list, as is Bedminster which is home to President Donald Trump’s golf course, often referred to as the “Summer White House.”
“…there have been a limited number of visual sightings of drones over military facilities in New Jersey and elsewhere, including within restricted air space,” the FAA acknowledged earlier this week. “Such sightings near or over DoD installations are not new. DoD takes unauthorized access over its airspace seriously and coordinates closely with federal, state, and local law enforcement authorities, as appropriate. Local commanders are actively engaged to ensure there are appropriate detection and mitigation measures in place.”
