IT BEGINS: ICE reportedly conducts raid, rounds up illegals in Newark, N.J.

Promises made and kept, Save Jerseyans.

On Thursday, U.S. immigration agents reportedly detained illegal aliens during a workplace raid in Newark, New Jersey’s largest city and a self-proclaimed “sanctuary” city. That’s according to the city’s mayor.

“Today, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents raided a local establishment in the City of Newark, detaining undocumented residents as well as citizens, without producing a warrant,” Newark Mayor Ras Baraka alleged in a press release and accused agents of violating the Fourth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

“Newark will not stand by idly while people are being unlawfully terrorized,” added Baraka who, uncoincidentally, is also seeking the Democrat gubernatorial nomination. “I will be holding a press conference in alliance with partners ready and willing to defend and protect civil and human rights. Details to come.”

Meanwhile, it’s expected that the pace of deportation actions will accelerate. According to President Trump’s new border czar Tom Homan, ICE agents apprehended 308 illegals on Tuesday alone and intercepted 766 illegals at the U.S.-Mexican Border.

In a separate X post on Thursday evening, newly-minted White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed that “[t]he Trump Administration arrested 538 illegal immigrant criminals including a suspected terrorist, four members of the Tren de Aragua gang, and several illegals convicted of sex crimes against minors.”

“The Trump Administration also deported hundreds of illegal immigrant criminals via military aircraft,” Leavitt added. “The largest massive deportation operation in history is well underway.”

It’s been estimated that as many as 1 in 10 New Jersey residents are present illegally.
