N.J. small business owners take to social media to mock utensil ban

Trenton’s ban on restaurants offering utensils, napkins, and condiments to customers without a request (!) went into effect on August 1st, Save Jerseyans, and many businesses are expressing their opinions of the absurd new regulations.

A number of Garden State ice cream palors have taken to social media to mock Governor Sherrill and the ban, posting satirical skits or hanging banners which serve the dual purposes of criticizing Trenton and notifying patrons of the law’s mandate.

“Violators” could face fines of up to $250 per violation.

These are two of the best small business responses (from Flipper’s in Millville and Evergreen Dairy Bar in Vincentown, respectively):
