Am I the only one who senses another blown opportunity in the making, Save Jerseyans?
After two summer polls found Cory Booker (D-Twitter) under 50% in his quest for a full Senate term head-to-head with GOP challenger Jeff Bell, we now have a NYT-CBS poll with Booker at 50% but Bell nipping at his heels at 43%, only 7-points back (for those of you who learned math in a NJEA failure factory).
Yes, Bell has an uphill climb against the younger, hipper, well-heeled Democrat superstar who, of course, hasn’t gone on television yet. But you can turn that analysis on its head by pointing out that Bell, who only recently returned to New Jersey residency and doesn’t have two nickles to rub together, also hasn’t done much of anything.
It shouldn’t be this close for an incumbent with Booker’s name recognition.
President Obama hit 39% in Gallup tracking heading into the weekend. What say you, NRSC? Tea Party PACs? Should we continue to argue over who did what to whom in Mississippi? And battle over red territory? Or put our money where are mouths are and fight for a pick up in “blue” but clearly winnable New Jersey?
Hello?
Do you know the name of the republican candidate running against Booker? What about the name of any 3rd party candidate in the Senate race? If you answered no, the take the time to become an educated voter. Go out and learn who is running, where they stand on the issues, and if you think they would do a good in the Senate! Please just don’t blindly pull a party lever, instead become part of the solution, become an EDUCATED INFORMED VOTER. Its the one thing politicians fear more than anything else, a person ho pays attention to what t g eyes are doing!
A North Jersey newspaper reported of Booker as follows – “Booker is not afraid to debate Bell. The only person in the race he is afraid of is Eugene M. LaVergne”.
Some people are helping his campaign by having a fundraiser at Shackamaxon CC in Scotch Plains on July 31st: https://www.facebook.com/events/264097210442563/?ref_dashboard_filter=upcoming
Jeff Bell had better get past the “gold standard” issue, or the more well know he becomes, the worse he will do
