Rooney on 1210 WPHT: “We don’t have an adult in Trenton anymore”

Phil Murphy’s Tuesday budget address was tantamount to a demand for a black check from New Jersey’s taxpayers.

That’s what Save Jersey founder Matt Rooney wrote this week and repeated on Wednesday on Dom Giordano’s 1210 WPHT radio program.

“We don’t have an adult in Trenton anymore,” said Rooney, noting that Phil Murphy’s proposed FY 2020 budget is approximately $10 billion larger than the one Chris Christie started with at the start of the former Republican governor’s own time in office.
