SALEM, N.J. – New Jersey’s least populous county is still in Republican hands after Tuesday night.
Republican Dale Cross, a former freeholder, had defeated Democrat Beth Timberman by 654 votes when the dust settled in a three-way county clerk contest that included an independent entry: former Penns Grove Mayor Ken James.
