With the State Senate in Mind, Guadagno Sails to Wildwood Seeking to Stick Fork in Van Drew

The Christie Administration is determined to make Steve Sweeney irrelevant, Save Jerseyans.

How so? By taking back the New Jersey State Senate! Three Republican pick-ups this fall would produce a split chamber and turn Trenton on its head; one of the best pick up opportunities now lies at the state’s southernmost end.

That’s why Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno braved Shore traffic and traveled to Wildwood Crest’s Pan American Hotel on Friday evening to boost the “DeWeese for Senate” campaign along with the senate hopeful’s running mates, Sam Fiocchi and Suzanne Walters for Assembly.

This visit comes on the heels of what Cape May Republicans gleefully describe as a “widening rift” among incumbent state Senator Jeff Van Drew’s district Democrats. An Ocean City Democratic Municipal leader recently resigned his post to protest Van Drew’s voting record. This week, Middle Township Democratic candidate Sam Kelly is criticizing Van Drew for allegedly meddling in a Middle Township zoning debate. Cape Republicans are convinced the LG’s visit is just the latest sign that Van Drew’s goose will be cooked come November.
