42.5% of Camden, New Jersey residents live below the poverty line according to new data for 2011 just released this week by the U.S. Census Bureau, as compared to approximately 15% nationwide.
That’s the sorry state of things after countless weak mayors, gross corruption, federal intervention through HUD and other departments, a failed state takeover and hundreds of millions of dollars in wasted state aid. A big government #fail of the highest degree.
It’s time for Camden’s “leadership” to wake up, Save Jerseyans, and it’s long-past time for Trenton politicians to start addressing root causes as opposed to affixing expensive band aids. On the basis of what we’re spending on public education alone, Camden should’ve turned out some Nobel laureates by now. What we’ve gotten instead is a true human tragedy on what’s quite frankly prime underdeveloped real estate.
There’s no excuse for this to happen in one of the richest states of the wealthiest country on earth… if you agree, then it logically follows that 60+ years of liberal policies are to blame. Disasters zones like Camden are no accident.
Forget about it Jake …this is Chinatown
