UPDATE: Kyrillos Camp Joins Menendez Campaign Finance Brouhaha

The plot continues to thicken tonight in New Jersey’s 2012 U.S. Senate contest.

Kyrillos for U.S. Senate campaign manager Chapin Fey released the following statement this evening following the guilty plea of Democrat fundraiser, Joseph Bigica, who admitted breaking campaign finance laws by bundling approximately $100,000 for incumbent U.S. Senator Bob Menendez’s reelection campaign:

Portraying himself as a victim, Bob Menendez yesterday failed to return approximately $80,000 in illegally bundled campaign contributions received from admitted felon Joseph Bigica. Based on the U.S. Attorney’s statement, these contributions were illegally bundled by Bigica using straw donors. Bob Menendez needs to do the right thing and return all of his campaign’s ill gotten gains.

In addition, the voters of New Jersey deserve a complete and detailed explanation by Menendez of his relationship with his long-time donor and supporter, who according to media reports, even hosted a party for him in Atlantic City. Bob Menendez should not reap the rewards of illegal activity.”

Incidentally, Save Jerseyans, a new poll out today showed Menendez trailing an unnamed general election opponent ahead of the November vote. His name identification continues to lag badly.

The good news for Senator Bob? He won’t stay anonymous for long if he continues to keep company with guys like Joseph Bigica!

  1. Thanks for Nothing Bob…can't believe you get paid for what ever it is you do. It's not for New Jersey that's for sure.

And it makes me sick that you will some how receive a pension paid for by the american people

Bob Menendez served his party or friends, never New Jersey

  2. I've said for years that Menendez was a "crud"….now I hope to see him emplode. I'ts well past time for a Repuplican in the Senate here in NJ, and Joe Kyrillos will prove to be a great choice.
