She’s “Acting Governor” Guadagno again today, Save Jerseyans.
Governor Chris Christie is in our nation’s capital to address the nationally-renown Brookings Institution this morning at 10:00 a.m.
You’ll actually be able to watch his remarks live by clicking right here.
His speech is described by Brookings as a discussion “on the economy, job creation, tax reform and the budget” in which Governor Christie “will outline his bipartisan efforts and accomplishments to restore fiscal integrity and accountability to state and local government.”
Expect the Governor to double-down and expand on his pro-tax cut narrative from this year’s budget brawl.
For those unfamiliar with the think tank world, Brookings is a nominally non-partisan, Washington-based research organization that tends to be solidly left-leaning on the domestic policy front. Nevertheless, many of its foreign policy scholars were supportive of Bush Administration foreign policy initiatives. I’m sure the Governor will find a polite and friendly audience; how receptive they are is another issue altogether!
At best he can always say he tried ….to cut property taxes ,and income taxes …but not one cent was cut from either ,however property taxes did continue their unsustainable upward move .
