Trenton Mayor Tony Mack is now a former mayor, Save Jerseyans.
On Wednesday, Mercer County Superior Court Judge Mary Jacobson signed an order removing the convicted Democrat from office ahead of his May 2014 sentencing hearing. Current City Council President George Muschal is expected to step in and serve as acting mayor until July 1st of this year.
Mack, who was recently found guilty of bribery, fraud and extortion charges, is henceforth unable to hold public office again in the future pursuant to state law, nor can he collect his public pension.
Well there’s a little savings to diffuse the pension time bomb! Emphasis on the little part as the infamous $100,000 club continues to grow. The good news? Trenton makes takes and the world takes [it], but former Mayor Mack is now a mere political spectator until he hooks up with Sharpe James’s publisher.
